SUMMARY:Idaho's 25th Army Band Early Independence Day Show
DESCRIPTION:Join the Ponderosa Center in welcoming the 25th Army Band to McCall\, ID! To kick off the summer event season and an early Independence Day celebration\, Idaho’s 25th Army Band will be playing Sunday evening at the Terrace. \nThis is a FREE family friendly event open to the public! Please plan to pack in your own lawn chairs\, blankets\, and picnic dinners. Well behaved doges are welcome but must remain on a leash at all times inside the Ponderosa Center Terrace. \nThe 25th Army Band is the only military band in Idaho and plays 30 to 40 events every year\, such as the 2019 Governor Inauguration and Inaugural Ball\, the Idaho Steelheads professional hockey games\, rodeos\, parades and community events. \nAmong the band’s 32 Soldier musicians are high school music teachers\, an attorney\, an environmental engineer\, federal technicians serving in the Idaho National Guard and former law enforcement personnel. Most of the band personnel play more than one instrument. While most of the band members live in Idaho\, others are from the neighboring states of Montana\, Oregon and Washington. The current Band Commander is Warrant Officer Shad Frazier from Coeur d’Alene\, Idaho. \nThe 25th Army Band comprises a variety of groups within the band: the concert band\, the Jazz Militia\, the marching band and many small combo groups playing Dixieland jazz\, brass ensemble\, woodwind quintet\, rock\, country and western music. \nThe band is headquartered on Gowen Field in Boise\, Idaho. The unit was organized in 1926 under the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team and located in Caldwell.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our third annual chili feed event! This year\, our goal is to make this our biggest and best one yet.\n\nSample some of the best chili the West Central Mountains has to offer\, visit fun booths from local organizations\, play interactive games\, and enjoy live music. Premier tier sponors will serve as judges to determine the winner for this year’s competition. This will be an evening of family-friendly fun by the lake for a great cause.\n\nOur goal is to raise $30\,000 for our crisis response program. Help us make vital connections to respond to those in need of critical help\, and allow our community members to have the chance to heal here in our community. Entry fee is $15 for individuals\, $35 for families of three or more. The entry fee includes all the activities and goodies we have to offer.\n\nTogether we can strengthen families and strengthen communities.\n\nAre you ready to BRING THE HEAT and ignite hope in the West Central Mountains?

We invite you to join us on Saturday\, June 22 for this free\, family-friendly event\, this year in a new location: Ludwig Terrace\, Ponderosa Center in McCall. \nThe West Central Mountains of Idaho has such a long history and rich tapestry of conservation organizations it can be difficult for area residents to know what each organization does and how they interrelate.
