Before finding her home at the Ponderosa Center Krista has gained professional experience as an office manager, executive assistant and event planner. In addition, she owned and operated her own photography and graphic design business for 15 years and brings that entrepreneurial spirit with her. She has donated her time, photography and graphic design skills and has lobbied past employers to give monetarily to many non-profit organizations, including the Ponderosa Center. She believes that we all should give where are heart is.
Krista graduated from Boise State University in 2005 earning a BA in Mass Communication and a minor in Visual Arts. She grew up in a very tiny town in Eastern Oregon and is a small-town girl at heart. Her and her husband knew they wanted to raise their two children somewhere that biking to their friend’s house was still possible. They made McCall their home in 2016. Their family of four grew to include two horses, 1 gray kitten, 2 beta fish and a boxer puppy.
Krista and her family take full advantage of all the amazing opportunities that the greater Valley County area has to offer. She enjoys backpacking, river paddling, summer concerts, backyard cornhole, snowboarding, skiing and walking downtown shops. There is always good company and adventure to be had. The only thing missing from McCall and the surrounding area is year-round space for arts, education and gathering for every member of our community. She can’t believe how lucky she is to be an intricate part of developing that for the community she loves.
