Janell Strosnider

President

As the President,  Janell stewards the Ponderosa Center awareness and implements a public strategy that fosters community engagement and capital campaign success.

Janell earned a BBA in Finance from Boise State University in 1990. Her professional career began at Albertson’s Corporation in 1990. Thereafter, she ventured to commercial lending underwriting more than $120 million in business loans.  As securitized lending markets waned, she stepped into the role of Director for a 24/7 Animal Emergency Center in need of its own resuscitation.  The Center went from operating at a significant loss to generating consistent profits within months.

Janell then joined Milligan Events and became owner in 2008.  With a compassionate yet strong business acumen and keen ability to attract exceptional talent, Janell created a collaborative, self-managed team culture, evidenced by Milligan’s fast approaching 28th anniversary.

Aside from joining the Ponderosa Center in 2020, Janell supported several non-profits.  She was a Board Member for the Idaho Humane Society throughout their last capital campaign, is a Leadership Boise Alumni and served on the Boards of Pilgrim Cove Camp as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho.  Service is part of her DNA.

Born and raised in Montana, Janell appreciates living on lake time, listening to Mother Nature, and taking in beautiful sunsets.  Mother to two grown children who consider Brundage their mountain and still enjoy spending time in McCall, Janell cherishes those skiing memories and any kid-time she can get.

Janell and her partner, Carl, enjoy skiing, biking, hiking, SUP-sitting, live entertainment (think summer concert series), reading, good wine, and lots of deck time.  She has no grandkids yet but a very loved, spoiled and somewhat portly, dog named Tucker who keeps them active and acts as their winter morning alarm clock.
