The son of a Naval aviator, John spent his formative years in numerous locations along the West Coast of the US and in Japan. He has lived in Idaho since he began high school.  His career included a variety of roles in finance, business development, strategic planning, and executive management over the course of thirty-plus years at Morrison-Knudsen, Hewlett-Packard, and the Simplot Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boise State University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Utah.
